Have received only an inch or so rain over the last month and a half making for very dry conditions locally. Rain is far below average and is a continuation of a number of dry summers in the last decade. Lake and River levels are low with boaters starting to remove boats and pontoon due to inabilities to access lifts due to the low water. Unirrigated crops are showing stress with browning leaves on corn and curled leaves on beans. Grass is dry and fighting to stay alive. Extreme heat was not helped as July temps have been listed as the fourth hotest since the beginning of monitoring. Have not mowed grass for 3 weeks now. Invasive weeds are even struggling. No significant rain in forecast.
