We have had some heavy rain events this past week which have contributed to damp conditions. We have not had any flooding or severe weather such as hail. Soil conditions are damp but not wet. Grasses and vegetation are more green than usual for this time in August. With humid conditions returning it feels like the height of summer. Birds have been active in their search for food. Small mammals have been very active as well. Larger mammals such as foxes and deer are also more visible at this time.
