Only 0.03” in the preceding seven days – in fact, that’s our total for August to date. Will stick with “near normal” for now, living large off of July’s bounty – but the medium range models aren’t exactly promising and will probably need to switch to mildly dry next report. Things are growing pretty well – decorative and veggie plantings are doing nicely (some augmented with drip hoses) and native species and grasses look pretty good. Starting to see some signs of the shorter days in the veggie garden, and there are a few tinges of autumn color here and there. Pond is at control depth and wildlife activity is normal.
