.17" of rain this week brings the month's total to .24" and the year's since Jan. 1 to 3.08". Very little fruit production this year, and no summer garden produce to date. Some tomatoes have set, but no zucchini, and chili peppers haven't blossomed so far. The creek ran well locally and all the way down to the Rio Grande early this week from rain that must have fallen northwest of here, but it was dry again within 1-2 days. Grass is growing at the verge of paved roads and acacias are in bloom in the foothills, but hillsides are still brown. Still seeing a variety of birds in the yard.
