Three weeks of no rain and high temps following the wide scale flooding of this spring and summer is getting us back to average for this time of year. The Llano River is still above average with the USGS reporting it is flowing at Hwy 87 at 369 cfs vs the 53-year median of 100 cfs. Kayakers are again on the river after years of below average levels. Plant growth is abundant and green. Normally, plants are going into summer dormancy and turning brown or yellow this time of year. Standing water in fields and draws has dried up but the ground is still soft. There are no burn bans in effect.
