For week of 02 - 08 Aug: (1.0+ 14.0+ 0+ 0+ 0+ 0)= 15.0mm, Moderately Dry (with Heat Warnings). High's: +28C to +34C Hx +41C; Low's: +27C to 15C; Wind: All calm except for gusts during overnight rain; Dew: 1med, 1 slight. This past week has been brutal for heat and humidex. We've had 4 consecutive days of +30C Plus temps along with Hx. Heat Warnings issued on Tues, 4 Aug, and still continue. Any benefit the 14.0mm of rain brought in the overnight was nullified with the oppressive heat. Its been challenging to be outdoors. Have not mowed the lawn. Deer staying in the woods. But, on the human side, life continues. Tourism going strong. Overhead work on Peggy's Cove Rd on-going. Camp sites are full, but have burn restrictions. Heat Warning Advisories on local radio. Simply put, its been very hot and very humid. We need rain, and a break from the heat.
