Description:
The wetter rain pattern which started in July is beginning to show improvements to water supply. Prior dry conditions caused by the prior two years of below average precipitation have not yet been overcome, particularly for streamflow and unconfined groundwater. Between 0.21 and 6.46" inches of precipitation (average of 1.64 inches) were observed between last week’s Drinking Water Supply Indicators (7/26/26) and this week’s (8/2/26).  NJ remains in a drought warning.
