Station precipitation total for the previous 3 months (May-July) was 1.64", roughly half of the normal as is the calendar year to date. Some high elevations had significant rainfall in July while valleys remained largely dry. Temperatures have been far above average most of this year. Fire danger remains extreme at lower to mid elevations and mostly high to very high in the mountains at this point.
