Despite predicted rain again today and tomorrow, the deficit for precipitation continues inches away from "normal".  The rain has eased the garden watering requirement.  The rain we have been getting is spotty and more of a downpour pattern.
Neighboring tobacco fields have been sprayed over and over (don't know with what) and look scruffy, with some brown or yellow leaves and a few plants look completely dead.
