Rain for the week at this location was 2.89 in.  I'm calling it near normal that is stretching it a bit as this whole growing season has been a bit unusual.  Grass was showing signs of going dormant again in spots but the rains have brought a lot of it back.  Crops are looking good but still seeing spots of short corn in some fields.  Some garden crops are still not doing like normal this year and discussions with people in other areas have said the same. Had held off on mowing because of the heat and have had appointments that kept me from mowing after the rain, so will probably have to sweep after we mow.  Guess it's just Summer in Iowa.
