Weekly precip was a trace. Normal hot and humid summer conditions this past week. Some storms in the area on some days but no rain at gauge location. As of this Sunday August 2nd, 2026 we are busy irrigating soybeans again, though we still have decent moisture in place. Corn is drying down and no longer requires water. Probably the last watering needed on many of the soybeans as well. Harvest is right around the corner. A nice cool down has occurred as of this Sunday morning, but I expect the heat will return shortly. Landscape is green with many trees (pecan, persimmon etc.) getting heavy with fruit. Normals conditions in place.
