Drier and hotter last week with only one day with measurable precipitation when .07 inches fell on Monday. Highs started in the mid 80's but warmed to the mid 90's as the week progressed. The high of the week was 95° on Friday. Lows were also warm with temperatures in the low 60's except for a couple of days. The low of the week was 58° on Wednesday. No strong winds last week. The surrounding open, wildland areas continue to "green up" with grasses and plants growing and wildflowers blooming. The vegetable garden is producing more zucchini and yellow squash and harvested the first cauliflower. Green beans are starting to grow more now. All other plants in the garden are looking very healthy. Finches visit the bird bath daily and a lot of hummingbirds observed visiting the garden. Also, have seen garter snakes several times by the pond.
