Mostly sunny and warm this week, with gusty winds in the afternoons. Perfect weather for this weekend's annual Art in the Garden festival at the local botanical garden.  This always brings in a crowd of locals and tourists. Summer harvests are filling the farmer's markets. One favorite is the local Italian long bean, brought with original settlers back in the late 1800s and still grown for sale. We'll be able to start harvesting wild huckleberries soon. No rain in the forecast, but ground water levels are still sufficient for the wells for now. Saw the first baby raccoon this week, but no baby quail yet. Does and fawns are wandering through the underbrush now. Delightful.
