A storm system that spread out over several days brought 4.09" of much needed rain this week. Some local areas got even more, bringing them into top record categories. A few locations had flooding issues with all that rain, but it made a dent in the drought too.
Plants are flowering, vegetables are maturing and showing up at farmer's markets, weather conditions before the storm came through were delightful - temps mostly in the 70s with low dew points. Forecasts for the coming week suggest hotter and more humid conditions after another storm front brings more rain. The dog days of summer are headed this way, right on time.
