Rainfall reported 8/1-2 in Lincoln totaled around 0.50 to 0.75", which helped the dry conditions, but is still about 40% of normal for the past 3-4 weeks. Grasses are still yellow/brown in spots and the ground is cracked. The past two days of light soaking rain will help, but not completely alleviate the problem. The recent slightly cooler weather has also helped the stress on vegetation.
