Lack of rain and well above normal temperatures have exacerbated drought conditions. Local crops continue to show worsening drought effects. Corn and soybean yields will be below potential and that will continue to worsen with continued lack of rain at this critical time of seed development. Soil is very dry, large deep cracks are common in ag fields. Sunflowers look good (deep taproots) so there is moisture deeper that they can get to. Second hay cuttings look poor.
