General Awareness:  I'm choosing moderately dry based on the nice, "wet" July we had.  Admittedly we're in drought based on the  water year.  We have received 1.21" of rain in July, compared with my 6-year average of .58 ". With a standard deviation of .37, we are actually 2 SD above our 6 year average.  
Agriculture:  The mustard and wheat are both dry now, and moving toward harvest-ready.  I had concerns, actually, that the great rain we had last week would lead to sprouting of the wheat and/or mustard.   We've seen that before.
Energy: Clearly we're in the healthy solar harvesting period.  Even with the AC running in this near-100 degree temperature, we produced 89.5 kWHR and only used 28.54 kWHR, shipping the rest to Idaho Power.
Fire:  Danger is high, of course.  We have fires all around us, though not immediately close.  We start getting concerned when the fires are in the Caribous or on the Fort Hall Reservation, as we abut both of these areas. 
Plants/wildlife: Dry, of course, and the birds/animals are looking for water.  We still have a little seep from our spring, but our creek is dry.  The Rapid Creek is still flowing.  
Water:  Obviously, an issue.  Again, I praise our neighbor farmers who chose dryland farming over irrigation.
