We had 1.75" of rain this past week at this location but much of that came from a small storm that covered only a limited area. Generally this area is in a D1 drought. Some towns have declared a water emergency though due to critically low reservoir levels. The rain has caused all the crabgrass and weeds to green up quite a bit so plants in generally are OK for now. The usual wildlife is around, lots of goldfinches at the feeder! I haven't seen any of the new crop of young animals but that isn't unusual. I haven't heard of any unusual wildfire activity in this area.
