My how conditions have changed over the last week. Seemingly overnight, all the local watersheds have almost dried up. Larger rivers like the Wild Ammonusuc have nothing but a channel of water running through. My pond has dropped at least 14” in the last week. Leaf litter on my hiking trail has turned to powder. Are we in another drought or will August rains overcome it. We’ll see…
