Current conditions are moderately wet owing to 1.62 inches of rain this week along with moderate temperatures and high humidities throughout the week. A series of storms arrived Monday afternoon which delivered 1.41 inches of rain with the remainder of the much gentler rain falling over the weekend. Soils are wet at and below the surface. Lawns are green and growing and a variety of local farm products are filling area produce stands. Outdoor recreation continues to thrive, even with the milder and wetter weather. Lake Michigan has been periodically petulant but today is really acting out. In short, the landscape is lush and green for early August.
