Week of (7/26/26-8/1/26) observed less precipitation compared to last week. The precipitation observed during this week was 1.02 inches of precipitation. The amount of precipitation measured was more than the last update of 2.76 inches of precipitation for the previous week of (7/18/26-7/25/26). There was 5.26 inches of precipitation so far that was recorded at station NY-MR-89 for the month of July compared to the normal climatology precipitation at KROC airport for the month is 3.56 inches of precipitation. There was 0 inches of precipitation so far that was recorded at station NY-MR-89 for the month of August compared to the normal climatology precipitation at KROC airport for the month is 0.12 inches of precipitation. Conditions have remained wet since the last update from last week with the area seeing an abundance of measurable precipitation in the form of liquid over this past week and the area is still remaining drought free. The area is currently considered near normal and conditions had remained wet and the ground has remained dried up with no standing water since the last update due to the area receiving more precipitation in the form of rain since there has been a lot of measurable rainfall last month in May, June and July and this had caused the area to receive an abundance of moisture the area had received in the past in general, but the grass is very green and vibrant in the front and back yard. The sump pump hasn’t been pumping very much during the entire week despite the ground starting to dry up. Outdoor activities have been poor this week with most of the days this week had wet weather and dry weather for a few days to walk on local canal path and some areas on the path still have standing water and along with near average to below average temperatures and wet weather lasting most of the days of the week and seasonable/seasonably cool weather was good for walking on trails this week despite finding dry time this week (2 of 7 days dry during week)and local creeks and streams water levels are still holding at low levels along with some seasonably cooler than normal to seasonable normal air in the environment (Sunday-Saturday) with temperatures near normal to below average (Sunday-Saturday). The air conditioner has been working below average for the entire this week (Only used Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Friday this week) due to cooler than normal temperatures during the week (as much as 3 degrees Fahrenheit above average for high and low temperatures during the week and as much as 10 degrees Fahrenheit below average for high and low temperatures during the week). The ground has still remained dry this week and the drainage area in the backyard has no standing water. The grass is green and vibrant with all the moisture that had fallen over this past week along with full foliage on the trees. The front yard needed to be hand mowed twice this week along with vegetation such as Dogwoods and trees in the backyard are doing good and no manual watering was needed so far and the grass is growing very fast due to abundance of moisture. So far, the total precipitation at this station for the month of July is currently below average.
