Soil is like very fine powder on the surface and like concrete many feet down due to severe drought. Indoors every surface daily becomes covered with fine grit. All the pinyons and junipers are dropping massive numbers of brown needles. Cactus is shriveling. People are finding dead animals on the ground in my area, including snakes. The situation is dire.
