Description:
The June rain has carried through July. We have had enough rainfall in July to keep us out of drought. The recent higher temperatures have stressed animals and man, but water stress hasn't happened yet. Not with the extremely heavy dews. I actually measured 1/100th inch in my rain gauge three different mornings! Irrigators are running as corn in particular that has just started filling, needs a water boost. Garden is doing well; bugs aren't too bad. Haying has progressed well although the tonnage is off 25 to 30% due to the extended drought conditions of the previous years, and this spring. Land work continues unabated now. the few rains we have had don't make it muddy enough to stop. Fire risk is low at the moment.
