In the last 7 days I recorded 0.98 inch of rain and my ET gauge recorded 0.79 inch of evaporation. The rains was a big benefit for agriculture and the upper soils got needed injection of moisture however my observations suggest the ground water supply is still loosing. Lawns  are still green but have slowed down with less frequent mowing. High temps have been normal and my A/C has been on and off. Fire restrictions have decreased a level than last week. Been 4 days since the last rain folks started watering their gardens again. Mosquito population reduced again, any open surface water disappeared a couple days after the last rain.
