Received significant rain last Wednesday, but soil, streams, and leaves have quickly returned to their relatively dry state. Soil that stays shades has some shallow surface dampness, but otherwise is dry. Trail use remain relatively high with no mud. Grass and trees are not showing new brown/red spots from dryness, but older patches of discolored leaves have not recovered. Ponds and stream remain low. Shenandoah is flowing more vigorously. Deer remain very bold around human infrastructure. Crickets and frogs have been heard steadily since rain on Wednesday.
