No rain this week. For the first time the grass and weeds in the yard feel crunchy underfoot. Some of the understory as well as a few trees in the over story are dropping yellow leaves. Burned a brush pile this week. Complete consumption. Tried a different pile with bigger logs and couldn’t get it started. Pond is down considerably this week and the creek is dry.
