Thus far in my “Watershed,” that resides in the “Upper Passaic River” Watershed, that covers from 1.5 miles to the NW to about 1.5 miles to the SE and is about 1 mile in width and in the general shape of a diamond;

There were TWO days with measurable precipitation and zero days with trace precipitation for a total of 2.66, inches the past seven days [Sunday-Saturday]. 

River and stream volume the past week of this CMR decreased the previous four days, their rates of flow over small lake dams west of this station. As of Sunday, 7/26/2026; one covered >10% the width of the dam 6.5 miles from this station moving at a slow volume, with no observable turbidity. The other, 2 miles to the west also decreased its flow over its fall, covering, now, about 15% of its respective fall, moving at a similar volume with no observable turbidity.
The Madison Golf Course, adjacent this station had observable play all days, one  between rain drops. The ground around this station is dry and firm to walk on, once again. Grass and weeds did not require maintenance. Active Birds around this station included; House Finch, Crows, Pigeons, Gold Finch, a hummingbird and Cardinals. The Song Bird feeder was refilled this week and was entirely consumed and refilled this week. The Thistle Feeder was filled Sunday April 26, 2026 for the first time. As of this report, 5-3/10” has been consumed for a total weekly consumption of 5/10ths from the previous week.
The Hummingbird Feeder was filled for the first time on 5/10/2026 and had observable use for the first time on 6/25. The Hummingbird feeder weighed 1007g on 7/26, 107g consumed or 10% usage the previous seven days was not refreshed and had lots of observable use.

Neighborhood squirrels, chipmunks and rabbits were all observed adjacent this station the past week. No Honey bees, Bumble Bees or wasps were observed the previous week. Temperatures the past week had normal to slightly below normal seasonal highs. Was warm, and humid. Lighting Bugs / Fireflies first flash was observed on 06/17/2026. Over the past week, that frequency, decreased to less than 10 flashes per minute around this station.

Over the past 31 days; this station has captured and reported 5.66 inches of precipitation. There has been 77 days of precipitation the previous 205 days of CY2026 [1/1/2026 to 7/25/2026] for a “Calendar Year” [CY] total of 
22.88”, compared to 83 days of precipitation and a [CY] total of
30.21” the same [year to date] in CY2025. So far, compared to last year, this station has received 7.33” less precipitation than a year ago. Some other totals from previous years, for comparison, are;

The TWELVE year running average total precipitation for this station is: 28.72 inches, decreasing (slightly) this stations total deficit to 5.84” less then the 12 year average and this year continues as the DRIEST year this CMR has been posted by 0.03”. Considering the twelve year annual comparable total for this station and total precipation from previous years, is why I believe that it is appropriate to hold this week’s report on the “Moderatly Dry” side of the Condition Scale Bar.
