Some rain this week has kept the conditions Near Normal. MTD is slightly below NOAA Norm with a deficit of -0.18" (95%), but YTD and WYTD remain with surpluses of +2.74' (112%) and +1.61" (106%) respectively. Area crops remain looking very healthy with corn silk drying and ears maturing and the beans doing their thing. Area rivers are starting to get to their summer lows. Barge traffic on the Mississippi remains normal. NWS has issued an Extreme Heat warning for today and possibly again for tomorrow due to temps in the mid-90s and high humidity. There are slight chances for severe weather tonight and tomorrow. The rest of the week looks to be near normal with highs in the mid to upper 80s. Hummingbirds are quickly draining the feeders. Having to refill feeders every couple of days.
