Plants are still lush and verdant, though the soil is crumbly when squeezed in the hand. The humidity may be helping them along since the last significant rain. Still, the garden is in full bloom and many vegetables are beginning to ripen, specifically zucchini. Bees are present but noticeably fewer than past years. The nearby stream is still flowing but is not as robust. Wildlife is visible at dawn and dusk, seeming to be unstressed about finding water and other sustainance. Hoping, as ever, for more rain but thankful for what has fallen.
