Tropical Storm Bertha had little impact here with only a slight increase in clouds and 0.12'' of rain. This brings us over the 30 inch mark for 2026. Not much change since last report. Green grass, water in creeks (stagnant in wet-weather creeks), full lakes, no burn bans. Continual sunshine and seasonable heat (highs between 96° and 105°), combined with a bit more humidity than normal for July, are making heat illness a real danger. Outdoor activities are best done before 10 AM to avoid both the sun and heat intensity.
