Only 0.23 inches of precipitation in the past 14 days.  Whatever moisture we received was either immediately absorbed or evaporated. Abnormally high temperatures continue in the 90+ degree range daily.  (We live at 6500 feet in elevation.)  Natural grass and weeds are dry and brittle, with little to no new growth.  Lots of dry dirt patches showing up in the yard.  Local watering restrictions continue with watering limited to three days per week, before 8 AM or after 8 PM, but we are not using any municipal water for outside use.  Fire restrictions are also in place.  No outside burning, including fire pits and barbecues.  Local streams and ponds have dried up. Pine trees are visibly stressed with reduced needle growth and they continue to drop record numbers of pine cones, which is a sign of stress.
