1.49 inches of rain fell here yesterday and so there are still puddles in the fields.  However, the fields are mostly bare of flowers and plants due to the overall dry and hot weather. Next week is forecast to be very hot and dry. Some plants that grow every year have not appeared this year. Some trees are stressed and losing leaves well before autumn. The Rio Grande River flow has been near zero except during yesterday's storm. Our water supply is adequate but with mandatory watering restrictions in place.
