We've had three small rains this week including one as I type this. Alfalfa look okay. Beans along highway 29 around Cantrall look very nice.  I heard crop duster again this week so something is bothering the crops in this area.  My garden is doing well with peppers and tomatoes coming along nicely. I haven't watered but do have mulch down. Groups of crows and flocks of birds are noticed in alfalfa field feeding on something. A number of rabbits noticed in yard and field. Fireflies out on several evenings.  Squirrels are chopping heads off my wild sunflowers and carrying them away. Something is knocking pears off tree and many creatures are eating on them (birds, chipmunks, squirrels, rabbits and maybe raccoons). Raccoons have been in the water buckets in the barn.  We frequently see the foxes and doe and fawns in the alfalfa.  The lower sheep pen is dry, as is the creek bed.  The pond is damp mud. Wildlife will move elsewhere if we don't have water available for them.  We do have dew some mornings. We have had brief power outages this week and have had to reset clocks.  We had some lovely weather with the temperature in the 70's and low 80's with less humidity and nice breezes.
