The rainfall of the previous week was just below our monthly average.  The one event this week of 0.48 inches pushed that total to above our monthly average.

As a result of the heavy rainfall we had two weeks ago and this week's event, the living grasses and vegetation have showed remarkable growth.  Our Forsythia is showing signs of having ample ground water from which to tap.  Other bushes have increased rapidly in size.

We have a number of Hummingbirds visiting our feeders.  There are two distinct females as noted by their flight patterns.  On hovers to drink while the other perches to drink.  There is at least one male.  We have seen no new species at our feeders.  Only an occasional rotation of a specie that returns after a short time such as Goldfinches and Starlings.
