Short-term mild-mod dry. Long term severe, D2 drought. No rain since 7/8, very hot and humid. Wetlands are low to dry and lake levels are mostly lowest in 10 years+. Photo is 12 miles north, wetland should have 6’ of water. Non-irrigated crops looked good and shot up in the heat, but now the parts on high ground are stressed. Wildlife is drinking water that we leave out, gardens need daily watering, grass looking dormant and dry. Shallow wells sputtering. Fire weather watch here, and BWCAW is burning up. I’m volunteering at an exhibit in Itasca State park, “We are Water.”  Will have to add -ing.
