Going to Severly Dry this week as we have not had appreciable moisture and July is according to PRISM my 2nd wettest month. So far MTD I am at 15% of PRISM Normal, 61% YTD of PRISM Normal, and 59% WYTD of PRISM Normal. Stage 2 fire restrictions remain in place in the National Park and in my local fire protection district. New fires have popped up to the west of us but conversely the air quaility is much better regarding smoke being blown in. Plants are looking a little stressed, especially grasses, sedges, and forbs whereas trees and shrubs don't appear to be too stressed yet. Many of the flowering plants look stunted, sending up bloom stalks that are appreciably shorter than what I remember from previous year. Lots of rabbits have been eyeing our fenced in garden but so far they have not tried digging under the fence. The rivers are looking very low even for this time of year.
