Rainfalls:  This week 0.53”, last week 1.98”.
Except for Saturday's squalls, the week was hot, sunny with no rainfall. The week rapidly shed the mildly wet rating from last week to mildly dry by Saturday morning. Saturday's storms (of 0.53”) pulled the rating back up to near normal as most of the rains were rapidly absorbed into the soil.  I was able to mow several times last week during the break from rain. The grass wasn't so long as it was thick and dense . The mosquito population seems to have gone down and the vegetable garden has exploded in growth although it did need watering every other day to keep from wilting.
