Conditions gotten drier since the last update from last week with the area seeing little measurable precipitation in the form of liquid over this past week and the area is still remaining drought free. The area is currently considered near normal and conditions had gotten drier and the ground is has dried up since the last update due to the area receiving less precipitation in the form of rain since there has been a lot of measurable rainfall last month in May and June and this had caused the area to receive an abundance of moisture the area had received in the past in general, but the grass is very green and vibrant in the front and back yard. The sump pump hasn’t been pumping very much during the entire week despite the ground starting to dry up. Outdoor activities have been worse this week with wildfire smoke from Canada infiltrating over the area starting Wednesday July 15th 2025 around 10:32AM EDT with AQI values considered in the unhealthy for sensitive groups category and for Thursday July 16, 2026 with AQI values considered in the unhealthy to very unhealthy category with AQI values improving Friday July 17, 2026 with AQI values considered moderate category early in the morning Friday and improving to good category by Friday around 1:00PM, but Saturday morning with AQI values increasing to moderate to unhealthy for sensitive groups and even unhealthy for everyone category during Saturday morning and Saturday evening into Saturday night limiting outdoor time and exposure along with a mix bag of slightly below average, near average and slightly above temperatures and dry weather lasting most of the days of the week despite and seasonable weather would have been good for walking on trails this week despite all the wildfire smoke and local creeks and streams water levels are still holding at low levels along with some slightly seasonably cooler than normal air in the environment (Sunday) with temperatures near normal to slightly above average (Monday-Saturday). The air conditioner has been working average for the entire this week due to a mix bag of slightly cooler than normal early in the week with near normal to slightly warmer than average temperatures prevailing over the area the rest of week due to temperatures warming slightly above average (as much as 13 degrees Fahrenheit above average for high and low temperatures and as much as 7 degrees Fahrenheit below average for high and low temperatures). The ground has still remained dry this week and the drainage area in the backyard has no standing water. The grass is green and vibrant with all the moisture that had fallen over this past week along with full foliage on the trees. The front yard needed to be hand mowed once this week along with vegetation such as Dogwoods and trees in the backyard are doing good and no manual watering was needed so far. So far, the total precipitation at this station for the month of July is currently below average.
