We remain in a severely dry streak.  Central NC is classed as in a "severe to exceptional drought."  We received about 0.5 inches of rain but the ground has dried out again.  Some trees are showing stress as are  grasses and gardens.  The relentless heat and drought are taking a toll.  the upper shallow reaches of Lake Jordon are dry and grasses/plants growing.  The "no burn and stage 2 water restrictions" continue.
