Rains in the county have bypassed our immediate area.  The ground is quite dry and hard. Brown patches are appearing in yards and pastures as some forages die back for lack of moisture in the heat.  Weeds are thriving, though. Ponds are scummy. Our wet-weather branches still haven't run since early Spring of last year.
