We had a great rain on Sunday into Monday, 1.74 inches. We only had .05 earlier for July. This brings Tarrant County back into near normal or a tad better. These long rains had a great chance to soak in over the 8-10 hours of precip. Plants are still okay. Grasses and flower beds will benefit most. Birds and wildlife are still good as they have feeders and water every day. Area lakes are about half full (plus or minus 1/2 foot. The rest are down a foot to the lowest at 4.3 feet. Still lots better than many past mid summers.
