We received 1.29" plus a T of rain this past week; 0.85" was from a storm today, from around 1 pm - 2 pm. (A SigWx Report was sent).
The ground was previously mostly pale and deeply cracked in sunny areas; briefly moist in shadier spots, after rain events. The water was running down streets and sidewalks with the storm earlier today, and there was a lot of ponding...but once the rain stopped only residual ponding was found, in the lowest areas, esp of sidewalks.
Lawn and plants around my house are green and lush. Naturalized area, with large pine tree for shade and lots of litter on ground and understory plants, is very lush. Dwarf magnolia is loaded with buds, trying to rebloom. Before mowing, the clover in my yard was very thick and filled with tiny Summer bees.
I observed one nearby creek earlier in the week, which appeared to be at normal levels.
I have not observed any unusual animal movements or behaviors.
Water supply and quality normal.
