A hot and dry weather pattern continued this week with just 0.57" inches of rainfall being observed. This rainfall dampened the ground for a couple of days, but now the ground has recently turned sandy in spots even though there still is some soil moisture left in the ground from having a very wet June. Next, our area grasses are a mixture of green grass and brown grass, and our trees remain healthy too. Also our pollinator garden has a few remaining wildflower blooms, but most of the wildflowers have finished blooming for the year. Lastly, area wildlife have been active with multiple sightings of various different bird species, multiple sightings of flying insects including: Wasps, dirt daubers, grasshoppers, and mosquitoes.
