Grass and pasture growing well despite only last night's rain.
Alfalfa is uncut and in bloom. I see doe and fawns feeding on it often. Bugs are bothering them and they are flicking tail and ears to get them off. Rarely see the fox these days. Lower sheep pasture is wet but not soggy after this rain. Creek is running still. Pond has reduced to half mud and half stagnant water. We continue to have on-off brief power outages this week where we have to reset our clocks. This was a less miserable week than last as far as heat and humidity are concerned. Seems like a normal Central IL July week. Butterfly bushes and flocks are in bloom. Green peppers ready to pick. Tomatoes are in bloom. I got a late start on the garden this year.
