Description:
For the month of June, 6.57 inches of rain was reported in the San Antonio area. This is 3. 29 inches more than the June historical average of 3.28 inches. Rain gauge total was inches. The additional rainfall for the month created moderately wet conditions in the San Antonio area resulting in less landscape watering and more water available for plants and wildlife. The Edwards Aquifer levels ranged from 636.67-642.40 feet with an average of about 639 feet. The historical June aquifer average is 663.0 feet. Stage 3 Year Round watering restrictions remained in effect and the region is still recovering from a five year drought. Wildfire threat was moderate. Average low and high temperatures were 68 and 87 degrees, with low and high temperatures recorded at 50 and 92 degrees, respectively. Energy costs were higher due to hotter temperatures.
