Hot and dry. Daily winds create dust storms. Pastures starting to turn back after the one good rain received. Yard plants struggling even with daily watering. Blackbirds and magpies have pretty well ran off all other birds. Cottontails in the yard which is not normal. Smoke haze comes and goes. Directly overhead one night. Fire ban. Supplemental feeding. Sale barns sales up with producers selling off higher numbers than normal for this time of year. Our local fairgrounds have been opened up for fire  evacuees. Not in use as of this time.
