0.62 inches of rain this week, while surrounding areas received over 3 inches -numerous storms kept going north or south of my station, with plenty of distant thunder. The storms did result in postponed or delayed fireworks. Beginning 6/29/26 temp highs were in the 90’s and Dew Points were in the 70’s, and Tempest registered DP of 80.6 degrees F on 6/30/26 at 4:16 pm. So the rain canceled the need to water the planters and gardens for a few days. Plants love the combo of heat, sun, and rain. Apparently thirsty wildlife has been eating the hydrangea blooms, and a Monarch Butterfly has been checking out the milkweed. Grass has remained green, and black raspberry patches have large abundant berries.
