For the week 6/28 - 7/4 2026 ----- EARLY MORNING TEMPERATURES at Data collection: Aurora: 52, 63, 66, 71, 71, 67, 64 & Kingsford : 55, 64, 68, 71, 72, 68, 64 ----- WATER CONTENT IN THE GAUGE: AURORA - 0, .72, .11, .0, T, 0, T Total= .83" KINGSFORD - 0,.75, .12, .0, T, 0, T Total= .87" ----- SNOWFALL- Aurora and Kingsford : nothing no snow -----MENOMINEE RIVER: Water levels all week at the normal summer water flow height ----- US DROUGHT MONITOR: has 1/3 of Florence County as Abnormally dry but here it is normal and all of Dickinson County MI as normal-----WILDFIRE RISK: Aurora & Kingsford are in the LOW category ----- PLANTS: Plants are growing like crazy and the grass with the high humidity we have had. Humidity within 10-12 degrees of the air temperature- Very sticky ----- WILDLIFE: Flourishing plenty of squirrels, chipmunks, groundhogs, rabbits and deer. Birds galore of all different species. Spotted a Blue Heron this week ----- Loggers are steady, Construction too. Trucks towing boats and lots of boats on the river this week and so-so with tubers/rafters.
