Description:
For week of 28 Jun-04 Jul: (All Zeroes)= 0mm. Mildly Dry. High's: +21C to +34C, Hx +41C; Low's: +19C to +13C; Wind: Mostly calm, some breeze, V gusts to 34km/hr; Dew: 2 Heavy dew, 2 light dew, 1 very light dew. Our area went from a cool, lush last week (39.5mm), to 0mm this week. Four days were dry but lovely, avg high +25C. Then EC issued the Yellow Heat Warning on Canada Day evening. It got HOT, and muggy. Thurs high +30C, Hx +39C and Fri high +34C, Hx +41C. HOT. My son's work place had to shut down, even after hydration breaks. Car windows had to be left open. Birds not flying in extreme heat. Deer stay in the woods. Pollinators are out, doing their bit in the Clover. Trees and plants managing due to rain last week. Tourism likes fair weather but not extreme heat. Peggy's Cove Rd not quite so busy. Yellow Heat Warning extends to midnight tonight, then a potential break. Sure makes one appreciate our more moderate NS weather.
