There are still cracks in the ground but pulling up weeds is easier.  We have received 0.90 overnight that helped softening of the soil but we are still below average.  The heavy rain was not the type to be slowly absorbed by the soil.

The trees and plants appear to be doing well but the lawns show areas of dead grass.  The Forsythia leaves are up indicating some replenishment of the ground water.

The Hummingbirds are visiting our feeders more often.  We have not seen any new species.
